Newly found compassion for others in Salem through representing conciliation

Recently recently I’ve been making substantial changes in my life and how i’ve become more sensitive to the needs of others. Compassion in action emerges from a field of openness connection and discernment on how we have created relationships with people in our lives.

Mistakes I have made a few but I’ve changed and I realize that through empathy and compassion we can grow in being empathic.

As a 30 year resident of Salem, I hope to be an asset to those who are less fortunate than myself. At this point in my life I realize that what Henry David thorough one said is true “public opinion is a week tyrant with her own private opinion what a man thinks of himself that is which determines or rather indicates his feet”.

In my research for empathy studies I recently discovered a quote “that when we have hurt others and missed a chance to be kind the pain of regret is healthy “ -From a book called a “Buddhist Grief Observed” by Guy Newland.

During my recent year sabbatical of extensive studies of empathy, I developed a series of presentations both written and spoken for Toastmasters International for which was the president of two public speaking clubs. I made the most of it regardless of my situation I had alot to learn.

The flower that blooms in adversity is the rarest and most beautiful of all” is a Buddhist saying. I took that opportunity by growing myself as more mature, and in better control of my thoughts and motivations toward others through meditation; and newly found energy for others, rath than myself.

As a result of my participation in speech competitions I received acclaim for which I received the awards of public speaking as well as leadership. I became recognized as an Advanced Communicator Gold Award, one of the most highly tauted recognitions in Toastmasters International worldwide

Sometimes in life, we have turn our lives around. I kept on reminding myself— WITH RECONCILIATION of our past THERE IS RENEWAL AND HOPE, AND HEALING for both those of us who were hurt and those of us we may have offended.
